The scholarship program for 2020
The Rainsville Chamber of Commerce awarded 13, $1,500 scholarship to 11 students at Plainview High School
The scholarship program has come a long way since its beginning in 2000. One $500 scholarship was awarded that year. A grand total of $117,100 in scholarships has now been awarded as a result of this Scholarship Golf Tournament, and the tremendous support of our corporate, business, individual, and team sponsors.
The 8th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament raised a record of $19,500. The 9th annual tournament is slated for August 15, 2020 at the Rainsville Golf & Country Club. The tournament’s and the scholarship program’s continued growth will once again depend on the generosity of a few dozen sponsors, the golfers and volunteers.
